Beauty moguls Mona and Huda Kattan are the latest public personalities to get their very own wax figures at Madame Tussauds Dubai. The sculptures were recently unveiled at the attraction located on Bluewaters Island, as the sisters made their way to get the first view of their wax lookalikes.
To make the memorable moment that much more special, the beauty influencers were dressed exactly like their Madame Tussaud’s counterparts. Huda, the founder and chairwoman of Huda Beauty, wore a dazzling floor-grazing nude dress by Kuwaiti couturier Yousef al Jasmi, and Mona, the woman behind Kayali fragrances, sported a striking black jumpsuit by Lebanese-British designer Nadine Merabi, and is sculpted holding a bottle of Kayali.
As one of the leading voices in the Arab beauty world and beyond, it’s no surprise that the sister—and entrepreneur—duo had a major say in the creation of their wax dopplegängers. According to Madame Tussauds Dubai, Huda Kattan worked closely with the museum’s artists to recreate her signature glam based on Huda Beauty products, while her personal hairstylist ensured that her hairstyle was perfectly imitated. Mona, too, provided input on the recreation of her voluminous locks, and donated the same contact lenses that she wore for her sittings, and a pair of 12cm high black strappy heels
“I am so honored to have my very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds!” shared Huda Kattan in a statement. “I feel so fortunate to be sharing a space with global icons, but more importantly, my sister Mona. I have so much appreciation for all the phenomenal people and talents who made this possible. They are the drivers behind the wheel.” Mona Kattan added, “Being given this opportunity was so surreal and incredible. It was amazing to be involved in the whole process to bring this to life! I am super excited about the reveal of my Madame Tussauds wax figure.
