Aamir Khan’s Mission Kashmir: To help promote Kashmir as shoot-friendly destination

The Bollywood actor-filmmaker alongwith director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Mahaveer Jain will launch a new film policy to make Kashmir a film shoot-friendly destination

Bollywood star-filmmaker Aamir Khan will be seen lending support to help promote Kashmir as a favourite film shooting destination. The actor along with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and producer Mahaveer Jain will join the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha in Srinagar on 5th August to launch this new film policy to make Kashmir a favourite shooting-friendly destination.

Earlier a delegation of leading filmmakers like Imtiaz Ali, Nitesh Tiwari, Dinesh Vijan, Ekta Kapoor, Ashwiny Iyer, Ssanjay Tripaathy, led by producer Mahaveer Jain met Manoj Sinha in Mumbai and shared their suggestions to draft this new film policy to encourage film-shooting in J&K.

Interestingly, the beautiful locales of Kashmir have always been a favourite when it comes to Bollywood filmmakers. In most recent times, films like Notebook, Bajrangi Bhaijaan have been shot there, while the Kashmir locales will also feature in the upcoming Shershaah and Laal Singh Chaddha.
