Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya had tested positive for COVID-19, soon after husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan and his father, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan were shifted to Nanavati for treatment of COVID-19 on Saturday (July 11). Since the mother-daughter duo had not shown any symptoms inspite of having tested positive for the Corona virus, they were quarantined at home.
However, late on Friday evening, Aishwarya and eight-years-old Aaradhya were moved from home isolation and admitted to Nanavati Hospital after they developed mild fever and complained of breathlessness. Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan had tested negative for the virus.
Earlier this week (July 12), Abhishek had tweeted a health update on his family. “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self-quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers,” read Abhishek’s tweet.
Inspite of his sickness, Mr Bachchan had earlier on Friday (July 17) posted an emotional note on his Instagram account thanking everyone for their love and prayers. “In happy times , in times of illness, you our near and dear, our well wishers, our fans have ever given us unstinting love , affection care and prayer .. we express our bountiful gracious gratitude to you all .. in these circumstances hospital protocol is restrictive , so individual responses are not possible .. but we see, read, hear all of you .. thank you ever,” his post reads.
