Akshay Kumar recently took to Instagram to announce the release date of his upcoming film Bachchan Pandey. Starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez, the film is all set to screen next year on 26 January 2022.
The announcement features a striking still of Akshay from the film, where the actor is sporting a beard, chunky gold jewelry, and a startling false eye. After astonishing fans in his last film Laxmii, the actor is set to play a gangster aspiring to be an actor. Co-star, Kriti, who will be playing a journalist also reposted Akshay Kumar’s post.
The film directed by Farhad Samji began shooting for the film on Wednesday (20th January 2021) in Jaisalmer. The shooting will reportedly continue on till March. Gadisar Lake and Jaisalkot are of the many places the team is expected to shoot at.
The film according to reports is loosely based on Ajith’s 2014 action film Veeram and also features Arshad Warsi.
