Birthday Special: 5 times Yami Gautam dazzled us with her performances!

From commercials to movies, Yami Gautam has won hearts with her beauty, charm, and acting. Beginning her movie career with South Indian movies, and then playing a beautiful role in her Hindi debut, Vicky Donor, she has been leaving us stunned with her performances ever since. The actress who is also a Filmfare Award Nominee turns 32 today! On her birthday, let’s take a look at 5 times she dazzled us with her performances!

Bala (2019):

Starring Ayushmann Khurana, Bhumika Pednekar, and Yami Gautam, Bala was a story of self-acceptance, love, and moving forward for all three characters. Yami Gautam’s Pari may seem shallow but was truly a woman who knows what she wants and knows what would work for her. Her chemistry with Ayushmann Khurana was an adorable treat to watch on top of her performance.

Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019):

While short, Yami Gautam’s role as Jasmine/Pallavi Sharma was significant in the movie. A fierce force to reckon with, she matched Vicky Kaushal’s energy every time they shared the screen. From playing a nurse to revealing her true job, an intelligence officer, she pulled off her character brilliantly.

Kaabil (2017):

In this action thriller, Yami Gautam played a proud and independent working woman. Her transition from a free-spirited young woman to a woman who feels unsafe and robbed of her autonomy, is captivating to watch. Her chemistry with Hrithik Roshan was a treat within itself.

Vicky Donor (2012):

Yami Gautam shined bright in Shoojit Sircar and John Abraham’s romantic comedy. In a role that put her on the map of many blockbusters to come, Gautam played a divorced Bengali woman in love with a witty and charming Punjabi man. From courtship, convincing the parents to a successful marriage and the problems that come with it, Yami Gautam and Ayushmann Khurana were highly hypnotizing to watch.

Ginny Weds Sunny (2020):

Playing a stubborn, headstrong, independent woman, Yami Gautam brilliantly nailed the role as her mother brings prospective grooms into her life. As Gautam’s character Ginny effortlessly drives the grooms off with her fierce and unrestrained personality, you see Yami Gautam’s brilliant comedic timing come to life. From a woman who is passionately opposed to marriage to her courtship and budding love with Vikrant Massey’s character, Sunny, we are able to see Ginny as a well rounded whole woman, who knows what she truly wants, and goes after it.

We wish the beautiful and talented actress a very happy birthday!
