Bring in the Purple Revolution!

Purple is majestic! The colour is exotic and exudes a sense of richness. The look of a purple outfit is hard to miss and lingers on the mind for long. You’ve got to wear purple to see what a purple can do, but before that here’s some inspiration from our B-Town celebs on how to get the purple right!

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone flaunts a purple mermaid gown complete with feathers and a trail.  Padukone’s gown is an amalgamation of shimmery zig-zags with feathers attached to the bottom and a trail made of net. Her sleeves are tasseled and separate from the gown.

Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi’s strapless and sequined purple gown is dazzling. Janhvi’s gown is also mermaid shaped and the alignment of sequins gives the appearance of scales. Janhvi reminds us of Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

Kriti Sanon
Kriti stands tall and gorgeous in a glittering purple gown with a thigh-high slit.  She pairs them up with sleek golden stilettos. Kriti lets her gown do the talking by keeping her make-up minimal.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa wears a simple jumpsuit with puffed sleeves. The jumpsuit is sans any embellishments but the rich purple is what makes the outfit so striking.

Malaika Arora
Malaika Arora wears purple to a poolside outing. Her halter-neck gown is large and airy and chic. Malaika pulls off the outfit with her hair wrapped in a ponytail and neutral makeup.

Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan’s traditional crop top and palazzos are an inspiration to all of us who strive for an indo-western look. Sara accessorises the outfit with crescent-shaped earrings and a ring.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Priyanka’s purple dress is elegant and unique with a lined top and frilled bottom. She also dorns some net sailor sleeves on top. PeeCee finishes the look with some blue eyeliner and diamond earrings.

Which one are you going to try?
