One of the most quintessential film festivals in the world, Cannes Film Festival is held annually in the French Riviera and is the most anticipated events in the film fraternity. This festival is a collaboration of cinema of all genres. It’s a platform that sets a benchmark for the films and gives a great launch to it’s makers and cast. This elite event is back this year with a celebratory 74th edition.
Cannes Film Festival has remained loyal to its founding, it’s main goal is to draw attention to cinema and film industry at an international level. Over the years city of Cannes has grown to be a household name for the festival which hosts glitzy star-studded red-carpet premiers, screenings and parties. It’s a season of its own.
Arguably the world’s most celebrated film festivals, Cannes 2021 opens with the Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard starter musical drama ‘Annette’. Few of the many acclaimed filmmakers who will be appearing at Cannes this year are Wes Anderson (The French Dispatch), Jacques Audiard (Paris, 13th district), Asghar Farhadi (A hero) and Bruno Dumont (Par un Demi Clair Matin). This year’s festival will also host four films directed by women and a wide gamut of big budget films.
