All this while, we were under the impression that Priyanka and Nick would perhaps choose one of the exotic locales in America or Europe as their wedding destination, but we were very happy and surprised when it was announced that NickYanka will tie the knot at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. You heard that right!
Just few days ahead of their wedding, Filmfare learnt that several tourism boards of different countries have been approaching Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, for hosting their wedding at an international destination. However, the duo declined these offers because PeeCee was in favor of celebrating her special day in the country she calls her home. This is why, Priyanka is called a desi girl. By far, the duo’s wedding is going to be the biggest Indian Wedding with almost 100 media representatives including international ones who will be stationed in Jodhpur.
Priyanka and Nick, performed a puja at Priyanka’s Mumbai residence yesterday before they left for Jodhpur. From today onwards, NickYanka’s pre-wedding festivities starts in Jodhpur. Well, recently, we saw Priyanka’s mother – Madhu Chopra in Jodhpur. Before leaving for Mumbai, she told us that she loves the city and this is why they zeroed in on Rajasthan for their wedding. “Mere buhut hee pasandita shehar hai,poori duniya chodhkar yaha aaye hai (Jodhpur is one of my favorite cities in the world),” Madhu informed us.
The pre-wedding celebrations start from today for NickYanka i.e. November 29, 2018 will be the couple’s mehendi ceremony followed with sangeet ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. After their cocktail party and haldi ceremony, PeeCee and Nick will exchange vows on December 2, 2019 as per the traditional Hindu calendar. On December 3, 2018 the couple will exchange vows in a Christian wedding ceremony. The dates for Priyanka and Nick’s reception to be held in Delhi and Mumbai are to be confirmed. For security reasons, all pre-wedding festivities will be taken place at Umaid Bhawan Palace instead of Mehrangarh Fort. It has been reported that the couple are spending Rs 4 crores on their Jodhpur wedding.
