Glow up: Tomato masks to get that natural blush!

Do you recall the song from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that had the film’s lead stars celebrate the Tomatina festival in Spain! Well, while the celebrations with tomatoes might seem a messy affair, there’s no denying the several benefits the tomatoes have on our skin! But you don’t have to attend the festival to make the most of the tomatoes and get that glow. Here are five tomato-based masks you can try at home for it:

Skin brightening
To brighten your skin, make a mask with half a tomato and a tablespoon of raw honey. Blend the tomato smooth and add in the honey. Apply it evenly across your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with some cold water.

Dark patches or dark circles
To reduce dark circles and patches, blend half a tomato and half a cucumber together. You can either apply the paste or apply its juice to your face. Keep it for 15 minutes and wash it off.

Dry Skin
If your skin is dry, apply a mask of half a pasted tomato and a tablespoon of olive oil. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and rinse it off with some warm water.

Cleansing
Mix the pulp of half a tomato with a tablespoon of curd. Add a tablespoon of oatmeal to the mixture. Apply it on your face and neck and leave it for about 15 minutes and rinse it off. The pack cleans the pores, exfoliates, and helps remove blackheads from the skin.

Reduce blemishes
Make a paste out of a whole tomato and add a teaspoon of curd, a teaspoon of raw honey, two teaspoons of gram flour and half a teaspoon of turmeric to make a mask that’ll reduce blemishes and brighten your skin. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients and apply it on your face and neck. Rinse it after a while for healthy, radiant, and soft skin.
