Here are details about Imran Khan’s first directorial venture

Imran Khan, the much-loved actor who made his debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008, is now all set to wear a director’s hat. The actor will be directing a short film soon. The film is in its initial stages, scripting and writing is in the process while Imran, who will be leaving for a family vacation tomorrow, plans to finalise the casting of the film after returning back.

Shares our source, “The film is in its planning stage right now. The only fact confirmed is that Imran will be directing the short film, produced by a brand that is known to produce and encourage short films and web series formats. This will not necessarily be a web film but a complete standalone film which will be shown in theatres.”

Imran Khan was much appreciated for his films like I Hate Luv Storys, Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan will now be seen playing another role, that of a film director. Much like his uncle, Aamir Khan, who has also directed Taare Zameen Par while he was acting in films. Imran too will be helming a film as a director. And why not? After all, he’s also the grandson of the late Nasir Hussain- the film producer, director and screenwriter with a career spanning over decades. Hussain has been credited as a major trendsetter in the history of Hindi cinema. From directing Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973), to writing and producing Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), he’s always set trends in Bollywood.

We wish Imran the best in this new journey he’s undertaken…
