The popular Netflix show is back for a second season!
Popular Netflix show Bridgerton is back for a second season! Yes you read that right! Netflix shared the first look at the second season on Instagram and we’re excited.
Bridgerton Season Two will arrive on Netflix on March 25, 2022. Less than a month after the show’s debut, Netflix had announced that the show was officially renewed for a second season. Will the same cast be there in season 2? Unfortunately heartthrob Rege-Jean Page, who played Simon in season one will not be returning for the second season.
Sex Education fans on the other hand are in for a surprise. Simone Ashley who played Olivia Hanan on the show, will be playing Kate Sharma in the second season of Bridgerton. Netflix made the announcement saying, “Kate is a smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools – Anthony Bridgerton very much included.” One of the new photos revealed the Sharma family accompanied by Lady Danbury, in full evening attire.
Fans of the novel will notice that the name of Anthony’s love interest is Kate Sheffield. However, the crew at Shondaland wrote the character as Kate Sharma, a woman of Indian descent in the show’s re-imagined Regency London setting – in the efforts to depict a multiracial world.
