How to choose the best sunscreen for you?

Sunblock is not a luxury, it’s a must!

Should we really explain why we need to wear sunblock, or is the sun doing the job on our behalf! If you don’t know which sunblock to apply, read to know more about what are your options for the best protection all day long.

While buying sunblock, make sure that you look for one with a “broad spectrum” label. Most sunscreens protect the skin from UVB rays which are responsible for sunburn and skin cancer. But, if the sunscreen has a “broad spectrum” sign, it means that it will protect your skin from UVA rays too. UVA rays play a big role in causing skin cancer and premature aging.

Choose a sunblock that has a sun protection factor 30 (SPF 30) or higher. The SPF number represents the level of protection that the sunscreen will provide. SPF 15 sunscreen filters 93% of UVB rays, SPF 30 filters 97% of UVB rays, and SPF 50 filters about 98% of UVB rays, while the SPF 100 filters 99% of UVB rays, you must know that there is no sunscreen that provides full protection.

You must understand that there is no sunscreen that is waterproof. Water-resistant doesn’t mean that it’s waterproof. If your sunscreen says that it’s water-resistant, it must specify whether it lasts for 40 minutes or 80 minutes while swimming or sweating.
