Irrfan Khan’s son Babil’s heartfelt post for Sanjay Dutt!

Ever since news of Sanjay Dutt’s illness surfaced, the actor’s phone and social media handles have been flooded with loving wishes and messages praying for his quick recovery from well-wishers, fans and friends from the industry. Amongst these messages, there’s one that’s particularly winning hearts and it’s by Irrfan Khan’s son Babil.

Late Irrfan Khan with son Babil

Babil recently took to his Instagram where he shared a photo of Dutt with his late father. He also revealed that Dutt was one of the first people to come to his father’s aid when he was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Not only that, Dutt was also among the first ones to reach out to their family after his father passed away in April this year.

Babil’s post read: “Writers must wonder ‘how do I start’, but I am not a writer so here it is; I humbly request journalists and human curiosity to ease on the speculation, the details. I know that’s your job but I also know that a sense of humanity persists in our soul, so give Sanju bhai and his family the existential space they need. Here’s a secret; Sanju Bhai was one of the first people to offer help in all and every way when my father was diagnosed, after Baba passed, Sanju bhai was again one of the very first few people that held a pillar for support. Please; I beg you, let him fight this without anxiety of media, you must remember we’re talking bout Sanju baba here, he is a tiger, a fighter, the past doesn’t define you but it sure does evolve you and I know this will be over with Sanju Baba smashing hits again.”

Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4. The actor is currently undergoing preliminary treatment in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital. He is expected to fly to the US later for extended treatment. However, the ongoing global pandemic is causing delays in his travel plans.

We wish Dutt a quick recovery too.
