Director Lokesh Kanaraj will be directing Kamal Haasan’s 232nd film Vikram. Kanaraj had directed Vijay and Vijay Sethupati in Master, the 2016 anthology film Aviyal and is is best known for writing and directing the action-thriller Maanagaram (2017) and Kaithi (2019).
The title was announced with a special teaser on Kamal Haasan’s 66th birthday. The rumor is that popular Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil has been roped in to play the antagonist against Kamal Haasan in the film. He will be reportedly playing a politician in the film.
Fahad Fazil earlier played as an antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran in Tamil, and his role in Mohan Raja’s directorial was been well appreciated. Recently, Kamal was asked about his favorite actors from the current league and though he had refused to name any actors from Tamil cinema, he named Fahadh Faasil from Malayalam along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shashank Arora from Hindi cinema.
