Kangana Ranaut breaks silence on the delay in the release of Mankarnika

Fans have been keen to watch Kangana Ranaut in the period drama Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The film was initially slated for release in April 2018. But it was pushed to August this year as the post-production was still in process. But now we hear to avoid a clash at the box-office, the makers of Manikarnika have decided to schedule its release after the release date of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is announced.

Commenting on the film’s delay Kangana reportedly said, “If you see, we started shooting of Manikarnik in the month of May last year. It’s only been a year since we started shooting. We launched the film in Varanasi on May 5th. We began shooting for it in June-July last year. When you make a film on a huge scale, then it normally takes one or one and half year but this year we will be able to release the film.”

On several comparisons made between her work and that of her contemporaries, Kangana has an interesting point to make. She says, “When I watch another actor’s work, I don’t compare my film with the film that I am watching. And when I watch a film then, I only think about that actor. This film’s cast and crew deserve all the credit for the success of the film.”
