Malayalam Actor Anil Nedumangad passes away due to drowning

Talented Malayalam actor, Anil Nedumangad, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, after drowning in Malankara dam in Thodupuzha, Kerala. Nedumangad had stepped into the dam to enjoy a swim with his friends. According to Idukki police, the actor was taken to a hospital but had succumbed regardless. 

Best known for his roles in Ayyappanum Koshiyum, and Paavada, the actor was in Thodupuzha shooting for his latest role, with Joju Goerge in the lead.

Anil Nedumangad began his career on television as an anchor and producer. Soon after he made his silver screen debut with Njan Steve Lopez in 2014. He went on to win the audience’s hearts with his roles in movies such as  Kammatipadam, Kismath, Paavada and Porinju Mariam Jose

The 48-year-old actor’s death comes as a great loss for the Malayalam film industry, with many actors mourning his death. Actor Dulquer Salmaan posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Heart hurts. Can’t make sense of this. RIP Anil etta. Prayers and strength to your family.” Actor Prithviraj tweeted, “Nothing. I have nothing to say. Hope you’re at peace Anil etta.”
