Following the death of Vikas Dubey in a police encounter earlier today, there were rumours of Manoj Bajpayee playing the role of the slain gangster. It was reported that the two-time National Award and four-time Filmfare Award winning Padma Shri actor was set to play the role in his next with Sandiip Kapur.
However, the actor tweeted, ‘Wrong news!’ that put to rest all rumours. Interestingly, Manoj has earlier played dreaded dacoits in Sonchiriya and even Bandit Queen. He had also played a gangster Bhiku Mhatre in Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya.
