Phantom films comes to a shocking end after a 7-year run

Phantom Films, a production house started in March 2011, has concluded its journey today. Phantom Films partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena dissolved their partnership and announced it on their respective social media accounts.

Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter to share this unfortunate news and tweeted, “Phantom was a dream, a glorious one and all dreams come to an end. We did our best and we succeeded and we failed. But I know for sure we will come out of this stronger, wiser and will continue to pursue our dreams our own individual ways. We wish each other the best.”

Vikramaditya Motwane shared an emotional statement on Twitter that read, “It’s been the craziest, greatest journey and the most wonderful partnership of my life. My three partners have been my family through thick and thin and I can’t thank them enough for their love and support over the past seven years. I wish them nothing but the best on their individual journeys from here on and hope our paths will cross again in better times.”

Phantom Films has given us many memorable movies like Queen, Gangs of Wasseypur, Udta Punjab, Udaan and Masaan. Although fans are extremely disappointed with the news, we’re sure that these talented directors will have something special in store for the audience soon.
