There’s good news for Raftaar fans. The rapper’s indie label Kalamkaar has been signed on for an exclusive recording agreement by Sony Music India. The artiste – who is known for his unique brand of desi hip-hop – shared that he was delighted to be associated with the music label. The rapper-producer had co-founded Kalamkaar to discover and boost new talent on the hip-hop music scene and help the underground music culture grow.
About the music scenario, Raftaar says, “Hip-hop today is the world’s most influential culture and has witnessed a rapid upsurge as an authentic and relatable genre, with rap undeniably maintaining its appeal through the years.” The music artiste hopes that the new partnership with Sony Music will accelerate “the growth and reach of independent music movement.”
Deep Kalsi, Rashmeet Kaur and Yunan are some of the upcoming talents signed on with Raftaar aka Dilin Nair’s indie music label.
