Rose and shine! Check out the incredible benefits of rose-water

Rose-water is the magic ingredient that not many talk about. The versatility of rose-water is such that it has touched upon both the culinary and the cosmetic world. Be it sprinkling on Biryani for aroma or dabbing it on the face as a toner, rose-water does magic at every point. And here’s checking out 7 incredible face-masks that you can use rose-water in:

Mask for Tan Removal
A mix of gram flour, rose-water and milk cream is a wondrous way to get rid of tan. 2 tablespoons of gram flour, with one tablespoon of milk cream or malai along with a dash of rose water, is a perfect solution after a day out at the beach. Apply the pack and keep it for 15-20 minutes before washing it off clean.

Mask for a Radiant Skin
Honey is a great moisturiser, but when combined with rose-water, it’s more than just great. A mixture of 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 tablespoons of rosewater applied once or twice a week or just before a special occasion for 15-20 minutes can instantly give that porcelain and radiant skin.

Mask for Hydrated Skin
The skin loses its hydration quite quickly, especially in desert regions so it’s imperative to replenish it. A combination of 1 tablespoon of aloe vera with 2 tablespoons of rose-water helps hydrate the skin almost immediately. We recommend doing this twice a week and keeping it on for about 20 minutes.

Mask for Anti-Aging
Okay, this is slightly gross, we agree! But it is rich in nutrients with the egg’s protein-rich skin tightening properties and the rose water’s hydrating elements. Mix one egg with a dash of rose-water and apply it on your face and neck for 15-20 minutes and wash it off. The pack helps improve the skin’s quality and texture.

Acne is also caused due to exposure to dirt apart from hormonal reasons. A paste of soaked fenugreek seeds with rose-water helps contain the spread of acne with fenugreek’s antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties.

Mask for acne Marks

Lemon’s bleaching properties help lighten acne marks, but lemon should never be applied directly to the skin without mixing it with something first. A mix of lemon and rose-water helps with scars, marks that acne has left.

Mask for blemishes
Potato is an excellent bleach and when mixed with the hydrating rose-water, cures blemishes, dark circles as well as brightens the skin. First, you must juice a potato by grating and straining it, then add a dash of rose water and squeeze a lemon into it. Apply on specific areas for a new better, brighter skin.
