Salman Khan was granted bail in the blackbuck poaching case a month ago when he was convicted. The actor was sentenced to five years in prison for reportedly killing endangered blackbucks during the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya’s family drama Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. The case that also accused Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari, panned for over 20 years. After the verdict, Salman event spent two nights in the Jodhpur jail.
Present at the trailer launch of his next – Race 3 Salman for the first time responded to questions of him being involved in the case and being convicted. On being asked if he’s worried about the money riding on him during the court case, Salman instantly responded, “Did you think I was going to go in forever?” It was after that when the journalist responded and said No to which Salman again said, “Thank you. Because I was worried.”
Meanwhile, speaking of Race 3, the film is being helmed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Ramesh Taurani. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah. It is slated for the release on June 15.
