Shakti Kapoor laughs off Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment accusations

Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta has triggered a lot of controversy and debate as she has accused veteran Nana Patekar of harassment on the sets of 2008 film, Horn OK Pleassss. The actress opened a floodgate of arguments as she revisited the old files and spoke about the alleged harassment Nana Patekar put her through back in the day while choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarangshe were duplicitous.

Coming strongly in support of Tanushree are several A-list Bollywood stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Twinkle Khanna, Anurag Kashyap along with two eye-witnesses who confirmed her allegation. Reacting to Tanushree’s allegations, it’s now Shakti Kapoor who has laughed it off saying he was ‘a kid back then.’ According to latest reports in ANI, when asked about his views on the subject, the veteran said, “I have just returned from the US yesterday, I had been there for Ganpati Bappa’s pooja. I don’t know anything about this case. This was ten years back, I was a kid back then.”

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi has also voiced her support to Tanushree Dutta and said, “Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.” She even suggested starting a movement called ‘Me Too India’ in which any woman who has been harassed can write to them which will be further investigated.
