While the South superstar Rajinikanth had shared his plans of entering politics in 2017, the megastar finally announces the much-awaited launch of his own political party
Will he? Won’t he? Talks of Rajinikanth entering politics have been on since a long time now and finally the megastar has announced that he will be launching his own political party in January 2021. The South superstar on Thursday tweeted that a big announcement regarding this will be made on December 31st.
The actor tweeted, “A political party will be launched in January; Announcement regarding it will be made on December 31st.” He added, “In the upcoming assembly elections, we will definitely win the assembly elections and give an honest, transparent, corruption free and spiritual politics without any difference to any religion or caste.”
The actor further revealed that it was in 2017 that he had expressed his wish of starting a political party. However, the plans had to be put on hold back then due to his health reasons.
The Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will be held next year in 2021.
