With over 25 years of experience in the Hindi film industry, Shah Rukh Khan continues to hold the title of being the most loved man ever. Reigning as king of Bollywood and romance, SRK discusses about when he faced rejection from a director due to the way he looked.
SRK spoke about his early days during “Zero” promotions and recalled, “I was practical and knew that I didn’t look the hero type, nor couldn’t I dance like one. In fact, a director once told me that he could use me anywhere because I was so ugly and not the hero-type.”
SRK might have been little skeptical about his movie choices because of that director’s remark. Yet at the same time, the actor gave his credits to Late Yash Chopra for guiding him and persuading him to do romantic films if he wants to succeed. Thereafter SRK has become the personification of romance with memorable characters from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho and many more.
Shah Rukh Khan brings back his romance once again on screen. He will be seen as a vertically challenged man in Aanand L. Rai’s Zero which will release this week.
