Suriya tests positive for COVID-19

The South star revealed that he is undergoing treatment for the Coronavirus and getting better

Soorarai Pottru actor Suriya has tested positive for COVID -19, the South star revealed on his Twitter handle late last night (February 7). The actor who is currently looking forward to his 40th film – that he will be doing with Pandiraj – shared that he is under treatment and his health is getting better.

The translation of the Singham star’s tweet read: “I am suffering from ‘corona’ infection and am receiving treatment. We will all realize that life has not yet returned to normal. Can’t be paralyzed with fear. At the same time, safety and attention are essential. Love and thanks to the dedicated supportive physicians.”

Sharing Suriya’s tweet, Rajsekhar Pandian tweeted: “Dear Brothers and Sisters Anna’s fine and nothing to worry.”

Meanwhile, the South star has recently wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming Netflix original film Navarasa, that sees him team up with director Gautham Menon once again. The duo have in the past given hits including Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram. The Tamil actor’s latest release was the biographical drama, Soorarai Pottru that was a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime, and was based on the life of Air Deccan’s Captain GR Gopinath.
