Things that you must avoid after waxing!

Post waxing Do’s and Don’ts

Waxing might be one of the best ways to get rid of unwanted grown hair, but, did you know that there are steps that you must follow post-waxing? And, certainly, there are things that you must avoid.

Skin becomes smoother after waxing, and the results last between 3 and 4 weeks. But, because wax removes the hair from the roots, it can cause pain. If hot wax is used, you might burn your skin, and waxing can be one of the causes of inflamed hair follicles, pain, redness, ingrown hairs and skin irritations. Make sure that you avoid the following:

  • Hot baths or showers
  • Massages or steam treatments
  • Tanning
  • Scratching and touching the area with unwashed hands
  • Swimming in chlorinated pools
  • Applying deodorants, body sprays, powders or any other product to the treated area

To help your skin heal better and to protect it from getting bumps, do the following:

  • Wear loose clothes as the tight fabrics can increase irritation
  • Apply a cool compress to help soothe the affected area
  • Apply Aloe Vera to the area
