After much anticipation in the air about the fate of everyone’s favourite witty and self-aware superhero, it is finally confirmed — Deadpool 3 is moving forward with Marvel Studios. Over a year ago, Disney had acquired the rights to the movie along with various Marvel titles like Fantastic 4 and X-Men that were formerly under the Fox Studios banner.
Although there were rumours, there was no official news of any of the Fox/Marvel Titles moving forward with the usual Marvel Studios production process until Marvel hired the screenwriting sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin. The Molyneux sisters are known for their work on the hit animated tv show, Bob’s Burgers. Reports suggest that Marvel Studios has been in talks with writers pitching ideas for a month.
While no official cast is confirmed, Ryan Reynolds will be reprising the role of the only Marvel hero to continuously break the fourth wall. It is not known whether the cast from Deadpool 2, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, and Morena Barracin will be joining him.
