Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi headlined by Alia Bhatt has been postponed to a new date. The film will now release in theatres on February 18. The film that also features Ajay Devgn was earlier slated to release on January 6, 2022.
The makers shared the announcement: “We are glad to announce that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has a new release date. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios). The film will release on February 18, 2022.”
Interestingly, the film’s release was earlier co-inciding with the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR that also starred Alia and Ajay alongside the South stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The Baahubali filmmaker too thanked the makers for postponing the film and avoiding the Box Office clash.
