Fans Assemble: Everything you need to know about the upcoming Marvel projects!

If you’re a Marvel fan, you’re surely having a whirlwind of a day since the Marvel Studios announced several new series, new characters, new movies and so much more! If you’re worried about missing out on any of these announcements, we’ve got your back. Here is a list of every announcement Marvel Studios made on December 11, 2020.

WandaVision, January 15, 2021:

Get ready for a new age of television with WandaVision! Marvel Studios announced that the original series starring Elizabeth Olsen will begin streaming on Disney Plus on January 15! The caption for the Instagram post read, “A visionary new age of television begins. Marvel Studios’ WandaVision, an Original Series, starts streaming on January 15 on #DisneyPlus.” Watch the exclusive clip here

Falcon and the Winter Soldier, March 19, 2021: 

Keeping the legacy of Captain America and the shield alive, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, an original series will soon be available to stream on Disney+ on March 19 according to Marvel Studio’s post of the exclusive first look of the series with the caption, “Exclusive First Look l The Falcon and the Winter Soldier l Disney+ “The legacy of that shield is complicated.” Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, an Original Series, starts streaming on March 19 on #DisneyPlus. @FalconAndWinterSoldier.” Watch the exclusive clip here

Loki, May, 2021:

The God of Mischief returns as Marvel Studios dropped a trailer for the original series Loki! The series is coming to a screen near you in May 2021! Watch the exclusive clip here

What If…? Summer 2021:

An animated anthology series by Marvel Studios, the series will explore what would happen if major Marvel moments occurred differently. The cast for this series will include  Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L Jackson, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, and many more Marvel stars! The animated series will stream on Disney+ in Summer 2021. Watch the exclusive clip here

Shang Chi, July 9, 2021:

The production for Shang Chi has been wrapped and the movie will release at a theatre near you on July 9, 2021. Marvel Studios announced the same on their Instagram post with the caption, “Production has just wrapped for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and we are excited to share the fantastic cast bringing the film to life. #ShangChi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is in theaters July 9, 2021.”

Ms. Marvel, Late 2021:

Marvel Studios is giving us an all-new character with Ms. Marvel! Know more about the character played by Iman Vellani when it starts streaming on Disney+ in 2021. Watch the exclusive clip here.

Captain Marvel 2, November 11, 2022:

Marvel announced the return of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in an Instagram post with the caption, “Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel 2, directed by Nia DaCosta. Joining the cast are recently announced Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani, and Monica Rambeau, played by WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris. Captain Marvel 2 flies into theaters Nov. 11, 2022.”


The precision expert superhero returns! Marvel Studios announced the return of Hawkeye with Jeremy Runner in an Instagram post with the caption, Original Avenger Jeremy Renner returns to star as Hawkeye, teaming up with well-known archer from Marvel Comics, Kate Bishop played by the amazing Hailee Steinfeld. Additional cast includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez with episodes directed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie. Hawkeye, an Original Series, is coming to #DisneyPlus.” The release date for the same is unknown. 


She-Hulk coming to Disney+! Marvel announced a new perspective on everyone’s favourite green beast with the caption, “She-Hulk arrives to the MCU! Tatiana Maslany will portray Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, and Tim Roth returns as the Abomination and Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo will appear in the series. Directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao as head writer, She-Hulk is coming to #DisneyPlus!” in their Instagram post. 

Moon Knight:

Vigilantes are often intricate and complicated, Moon Knight will be no different. An original series about a complex vigilante is coming to Disney+!

Secret Invasion: 

Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will reprise the role of Nick Fury and Skrull Talos in the newest original series that will be coming Disney Plus!

Iron Heart:

Riri Williams is a genius inventor played by Dominique Thomas in this original series by Marvel. The creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man will be coming soon Disney Plus. The original series will also star Don Cheadle as James Rhodes. Watch Iron Man’s worst fear come true — his technology is in the wrong hands. 

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, 2022: 

Mark the date for Christmas, 2022. Celebrate the joyous holiday with the Guardians of The Galaxy in the upcoming holiday special coming to Disney Plus. The movie will be written and directed by James Gunn. 

I Am Groot: 

He is Groot and we are delighted! Baby Groot will star in a series of shorts on Disney Plus soon! The original series by Marvel Studios will also feature several new and odd characters!

Christian Bale will star in Thor: Love and Thunder (May 6, 2022): 

Academy Award winner Christian Bale will play the antagonist Gorr, The God Butcher in the upcoming Thor movie, Thor: Love and Thunder! Watch Chris Hemsworth and Bale go head to head at a theatre near you on May 6, 2022

Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania: 

Beloved stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer all return in the all-new feature film Quantumania, the third addition to the Antman and the Wasp series! Joining the cast are Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. 

Fantastic Four: 

Join Marvel’s First Family, Fantastic Four in the new feature film! The upcoming movie will be directed by Spider-Man director Jon Watts!
