The relationship between stars and fans is most extraordinary and the latter are known to go to great lengths to show their love for their favourite stars. The audience venerate them with utmost devotion by naming streets, cafes, stars, and even craters after them. They often go as far as to get their favourite star’s name tattooed on themselves.
Post the untimely demise of the Dil Bechara actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a fan got a star registered under his name. The late actor also has a road named after him in his hometown.
Such heart-warming gestures have been extended to many actors over the years, let’s take a look at a few:
A waterfall in North Sikkim is named after the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The great height of the waterfall originally called Bhewma Falls resembles the actor’s tall stance.
Shah Rukh Khan
The Badshah of Bollywood has claimed a space for himself on the moon. The International Lunar Geographic Society named a lunar crater on the moon’s Sea of Tranquility as Shah Rukh Khan.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
A breed of tulips in Netherlands’ Keukenhof Gardens were named after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in celebration of her beauty and grace.
A cafe in Mardin, Turkey was named ‘Salman Khan Cafe’ after the Dabangg actor and everyone’s Bhai, Salman Khan. Salman Khan is said to have frequented the cafe during the shoot of Ek Tha Tiger and recommended valuable changes to the cafe.
Sanjay Dutt is a food aficionado and shared his special chicken recipe with Noor Mohammadi Hotel’s owner Khalid Hakimi in 2010. Hakimi immediately assimilated it into the menu and the restaurant is famous for it since. The chicken has many flavours just like the man himself.
Madhuri Dixit Nene
Madhuri Dixit has become a real star from a Bollywood one. Dixit’s fans named a star in the Orion constellation after her. The star surely shines as bright as her smile.
An actress of southern origin, Deepika Padukone finds comfort in dosas. A dosa has been named after Padukone at a restaurant in Texas. Ranveer Singh promptly remarked that he’ll eat that!
A lake in Switzerland is named after the late filmmaker Yash Chopra who shot scenes for many of his films there. Switzerland is popular among Bollywood enthusiasts for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and the lake is called Chopra Lake.
