Stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, and producer Karan Johar, launched the first trailer for Rohit Shetty’s eagerly anticipated action film Simmba, at an event in Mumbai on Monday.
The trailer opens with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Bajirao Singham from Shetty’s other film franchise to introduce Ranveer’s character. Ranveer Singh plays Sangram Bhalerao, a crooked cop purely motivated by money and open to taking bribes. As the trailer progresses we see that the murder of a woman Bhalerao considers family pushes him to reform his ways and bring down the rapists that murdered her, no matter what it takes. The trailer hints towards his romance with love interest, played by Sara Ali Khan without giving too much away.
