Lucy, the 3.2-million-year-old Australopithecus afarensis fossil, will now remain on display at the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi until 23 March. This rare extension gives visitors more time to encounter one of the most complete and scientifically important early hominin skeletons ever discovered.

Lucy’s skeleton, preserving around 40 per cent of an individual, has revealed remarkable details about her body shape, strength and movement. Standing beside Lucy in The Human Story gallery offers a rare, up-close encounter with a distant life from the deep past, inviting visitors to reflect on time, change and survival on Earth.
