Through Saregama South’s Carvaan Lounge Tamil initiative to recreate retro tracks to suit the modern music lovers’ ears, Vijay Antony has recreated the classic song by S.P Balasubhramanyam’s Namma Ooru Singari! As a tribute to SPB, Antony has given his own touch to the song that has been a constant in every Tamil music lover’s playlist for many years.
The original song also features the mega superstar Rajinikanth who recently celebrated his 70th birthday! This rendition of Namma Ooru Singari, presented by Amazon Prime Music is the first track in many recreations to come by the Carvaan Lounge Tamil’s initiative. With flat notes and fresh treatment, Antony does not believe his composition will be compared to the original. The recreated track was released by Music director D.Imman on December 15, 2020.
Vijay Antony is also an actor along with being a music composer. The talented artist has a busy year ahead with Tamizarasan, Khaki, Agni Siragugal, Kodiyil Oruvan, Pichaikaran 2 and more projects with Balaji Kumar and Vijay Milton lined up.
