Saif Ali Khan to play the “good guy” in Vikram Vedha

From Udaybhan in Tanhaji to his character in Tandav, no one makes playing the bad guy look so good. However, Saif Ali Khan is back to playing good on-screen with his upcoming Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Vikram Vedha.

Saif spilled the beans about playing a righteous cop in the remake, stating the importance of creating a balance in playing both positive and negative roles. The actor who is usually enticed by grey characters stated that “it gets depressing if you are constantly being wicked”. Preferring to balance it by playing different roles, “the idea is to channel different energies” says the actor.

“I will play an idealistic cop, so I will have to find a way to make him fun. But it will be a refreshing change to portray the good guy,” said the actor when asked about his role in the film.

The rumor mills are rife with the knowledge that Hrithik Roshan might step up to the role of the gangster Vedha, however, nothing has been confirmed.
