Organised under Project Mahadeva, Maharashtra’s flagship grassroots football mission launched under the leadership and vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Shooting Stars 2025 brings star power and inspiration to the state’s budding footballers. Tiger, known for his incredible agility and commitment to sport, serves not just as the face of the initiative but also as a mentor to the Project Mahadeva kids, motivating them to dream bigger and train harder.
Project Mahadeva is a statewide football development programme for U-13 boys and girls, designed to build a strong talent pipeline capable of representing India at global tournaments. Its long-term vision is clear and ambitious, to ensure that India’s 2034 FIFA World Cup squad includes at least five players from Maharashtra. From these, 60 athletes will earn a five-year residential scholarship and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to train at a special football clinic with Lionel Messi on 14 December.
