Ten years ago, a boy with a guitar and a smartphone dared to dream differently. Today, that boy is Bhuvan Bam: one of India’s most beloved content creators, storytellers, and performers. As BB Ki Vines turns 10, it’s more than just a milestone; it’s a celebration of an era that redefined Indian comedy.
“I couldn’t have been more grateful for the love I’ve been getting for the last 10 years, and the fact that it’s still coming feels surreal. What started as a random video from my bedroom has turned into a journey I could’ve never imagined. The characters and the stories have all been my way of connecting with you. BB Ki Vines isn’t just mine anymore, it belongs to everyone who’s grown up with it. Here’s to many more years of creating together.” – Bhuvan Bam
Bhuvan’s success revolutionised career options for content creators in India, proving that one person, and a clear voice could build an empire. At a time when YouTube was still a niche space and “influencer” wasn’t a career goal, Bhuvan became one of the first independent creators to break out. In many ways, he walked so others could run, turning content creation into a respected profession.
He also bridged the gap for Indian comedy, bringing a new kind of humour that was raw, character-driven, and local. Bhuvan became the voice of a generation navigating love, school, parents, and awkward desi moments. And he did it all solo: writing, acting, editing, and producing every episode himself.
Over the years, Bhuvan expanded his world, with viral music, award-winning series like Dhindora and Taaza Khabar, and heartfelt interviews on Titu Talks.
