16 years of Black: THIS is how Amitabh Bachchan celebrated the film co-starring Rani Mukerji

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that won 11 Filmfare Awards and 3 National Awards had released on February 4, 2005

The Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji-starrer Black had released exactly 16 years ago and to mark the occasion, the Bollywood megastar took to Instagram to share a video and pics.

“It has been 16 years…since Debraj Sahai. Black…a movie way ahead of its time. Every dialogue, every instance in the movie was so beautifully crafted, that it has engraved its existence in everyone’s heart, including mine,” wrote the senior star. He also shared this post accompanied by a special video to mark the completion of 16 years.

Among the 3 National Awards, the film had won Bachchan Sr a National Award for Best Actor. It had also garnered a total of 11 Filmfare Awards. The film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali also starred Shernaz Patel, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Nandana Sen and Ayesha Kapur.
