As per the latest buzz in the industry, Akshay Kumar has been approached by Dharma Productions to join the cast of Dostana 2. The development follows reports of Kartik Aryan’s ouster from the film due to ‘creative differences’ between the makers and the young star.
While Karan Johar’s production house issued a statement stating that they would not work with the actor again, reports now claim that they are trying to woo Akshay to come on board as the lead.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Laksh Lalwani. A sequel to the hit Dostana (2008) starring Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, the romcom is being directed by Collin D’Cunha.
