Dubai is set to host the World of Coffee (WOC) Dubai 2025 from February 10-12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. A highlight of this event will be the inaugural DMCC Specialty Coffee Auction, organized in collaboration with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
The auction will feature approximately 20 exclusive lots of specialty-grade coffee beans, each scoring 92 points or higher on the Specialty Coffee Association’s scale. These rare coffees include varieties such as Thailand’s Black Ivory, priced around $1,500 per kilogram, and Indonesia’s Kopi Luwak, fetching up to $1,200 per kilogram.
The auction will be accessible both in-person and remotely via an advanced digital platform, allowing global buyers to participate. This initiative underscores Dubai’s growing prominence in the global coffee trade, aiming to drive growth, sustainability, and excellence within the industry.
WOC Dubai 2025 is expected to attract over 13,500 visitors and more than 400 international exhibitors, reflecting the Middle East’s expanding coffee market, projected to reach $11.5 billion by 2025. The event provides a platform for industry stakeholders to connect, explore emerging trends, and engage in discussions that could shape the future of the coffee sector.
The DMCC Specialty Coffee Auction is anticipated to set new records for specialty coffee prices, highlighting Dubai’s role as a central hub for the coffee trade and its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the industry.
As the global coffee industry experiences significant growth, driven by increasing demand and supply challenges in key producing countries, events like WOC Dubai 2025 and the DMCC Specialty Coffee Auction play a crucial role in connecting key players and offering insights into emerging trends.
