Home remedies with Coffee!

For most of us, a day cannot commence without a nice cup of coffee. Be it espresso, latte, or cappuccino or the new entrant in town – the ‘bulletproof coffee’, we need it to kickstart the day! Other than waking up our brain cells, what coffee also does is instantly awaken our skin as well. Coffee provides nourishment and sheen to the face and hair. Let’s see how you can achieve that:

Coffee Face Pack
Coffee enhances circulation and smoothens the skin. Coffee combined with milk removes impurities from the skin, moisturises and exfoliates it. All you need to do is mix a tablespoon of coffee and apply it to your face and neck. Leave it for 10-20 minutes or till it dries completely. Then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Moisturising Scrub
The coarse granules of coffee provide excellent exfoliation and brighten the skin. Moreover, it helps cleanse the dirt and oil beneath the skin and remove ingrown hair. You need to put together a tablespoon of coffee powder along with two tablespoons of yogurt to make this scrub.

Coffee Lip Scrub
A coffee lip scrub can be made with ground coffee, coconut oil, and honey. This scrub is a remedy for chapped and dry lips. It moisturises the lips and makes them soft and plump.

Scalp exfoliatorCoffee doesn’t only rejuvenate your mind but also literally clears out your head. Half a cup of coffee massaged gently on wet hair will help get rid of dead skin cells.

Coffee cubes
Coffee is a great way to get rid of dark circles. Mix 2 tablespoons of coffee in a cup of water and put them in an ice tray. Rub the coffee cubes gently over the dark circles first thing in the morning after waking up. The coffee cubes don’t only help lighten your dark circles but also help get rid of puffiness around the eyes.

It’s not just us who swear by the magic off coffee, Alaya Furniturewala does so too. Check out her mask:
