‘I’m always in Love” – Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan defines young love. He was loved as a romantic hero from his very first film Student Of The Year. He further endorsed his ‘lover boy’ image with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun’s next, October, is also a story about love. In an interview with Filmfare, Varun defined what love is to him. He said, “We use the word love for everything nowadays and it’s almost like you’re abusing that word now. Earlier, talking for hours or getting to know one another before you declared love for each other meant something. Somehow, that doesn’t exist in people among my age or our generation. Blame it on social media or anything else, but it’s true.” He says the meaning of love for him has changed in past few years. He said, “It’s changed 360 degrees… Now, I use the term only if I love something.” When asked if he’s right now in love, he laughed and said, “I’m always in love!”

Talking about his next with Shoojit Sircar, October, he said, “Not just me, everyone will relate to October, which is inspired by many real-life stories from our daily lives. The film also talks about the importance of spending time with loved ones. Today everything has become so technology-based. You send a WhatsApp message or an emoticon to show your emotions. In fact, my character Dan doesn’t use a mobile phone throughout the film.” Interesting! October will hit the theatres on April 13, 2018.
