Sara Ali Khan announces Atrangi Re wrap

Sara Ali Khan recently took to Instagram to announce the end of her film Atrangi Re starring Akshay Kumar and Dhanush, “That’s a film wrap… ek saal baad” the actress quips.
She also shared a handful of never-before-seen photos with the leading men from the film sets. Along with the photos, Sara also penned notes of love and gratitude to her director Aanand L Rai, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar.

She extended her gratitude to Akshay, who will feature in an extended cameo in the film. “And thank you so much @akshaykumar sir for bringing so much love, laughter, energy, and positivity on our set, and sorry for stalking you for photos in all our costumes sir,” Sara wrote.

To her director, she wrote, “Thank you so much @aanandlrai sir for giving me this role, this film, and this opportunity. But more than that thank you for your unconditional love, unwavering support, the best India darshan, delicious khana, early morning sunrise drives to location, Sufi ginger water evenings, and the most memorable year with the best team.

And lastly, she also thanked her co-star, Dhanush for not only guiding her through the film but even for treating her to mouth-watering South Indian delicacies. “@dhanushkraja thank you for always being helpful, motivating, and inspiring. Couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey and yes thank you for introducing me to your amazing music and mouth-watering varieties of South Indian food (even though we could’ve avoided that indulgence during shoots),” she states.

But Sara wasn’t the only one announcing the wrap-up, Akshay Kumar too took to social media to announce his excitement for the upcoming film. “It’s the last day of #AtrangiRe and I can’t wait for you’ll to experience the magic created by @aanandlrai. Also a big thank you to my co-stars @saraalikhan95 and @dhanushkraja for letting me be a part of this beautiful film 🙏🏻”, he says.

The film went on floors in early 2020 but was halted due to the pandemic. The team got back on the sets after the lockdown restrictions were eased and they managed to complete their shoot in December.
