“I have a drama school at home,” says Juhi Babbar

Juhi Babbar who visited Dubai for a workshop for young adults, chats with Filmfare Middle East about what she likes the most about Dubai, her step sibling and her spiritual guru.

What brings you to Dubai?
I was in Dubai to attend a fantastic workshop put together by Former Miss India Prachi Mishra and her company Ministry Of Stars. The event was not just a ramp show but also a theater workshop. It was a five-day workshop where children will be given training in various aspects of theatre followed by a fashion show on the fifth day.

Have you watched “Four More Shots” and did you like about Prateik Babbar’s character? My brother Pratheik is a very good actor and I am happy his talent is being recognized and he always tries different roles that are challenging. His role in Four More Shots is very impressive and different from what we have seen earlier. He is looking very very hot, that’s what my female friends and colleague had to say (laughs). I wish him all the luck and many more challenging roles that give him success.

Tell us about your gurus?
Well if I look from the aspect of theater my gurus are my mom and dad, Nadira and Raj Babbar because whatever I am and whatever I have learned, about drama, movie and theater it is through them. People use to ask me will you go to NSD (National School of Drama) and I said I have two NSD (my mom & dad) at home. I have learned dedication, sincerity and hard work from them. They have completed devoted themselves to their craft with complete sincerity. My mother is completely passionate about theater, this is her 51st year in the theater. My father has done less theatre as he got busy with films and now politics. His first love will always be acting and again is very sincere towards his work.

Which are your kind of books?
I love to read autobiographies as I think autobiography is too close to acting and theater. I am a mom to a 7-year-old son and his books are so interesting with many colors and illustrations, that I love reading them.
