Madhur Bhandarkar will soon be back in the director’s chair for his next movie titled, India Lockdown. With casting underway, the upcoming movie that is inspired by true events will begin shooting in January 2021. Taran Adarsh, the movie critic announced the same of Twitter on December 23. India Lockdown will be produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures.
Bhandarkar’s storytelling has been exceptional, as we’ve seen, with movies like Fashion, and Page 3. Starting March 24, India experienced a nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic that continues to engulf the world. India Lockdown is a tale inspired by true events that may have occurred during the lockdown.
Madhur Bhandarkar’s last venture was in 2017 with Mumbai Mist starring Annu Kapoor and Parvin Dabas. The year 2020 was an unforgettable year, to say the least. Seeing the year and India Lockdown through Madhur Bhandarkar’s wonderful direction will be interesting to watch.
