Kangana Ranaut Reminds us of Hritik Roshan

We couldn’t help but notice some similarities in costume and writing choices made in Bollywood period dramas.

There is a strong similarity in costume, hue and prop choice. This could be due to the fact that both films shared the same costume designer, Neeta Lulla.

Addressing the elephant in the room, in Jodhaa Akbar, Hrithik Roshan’s character is seen mounting an elephant. In the trailer, Kangana Ranaut’s character is seen leaping onto the elephant. Jodhaa Akbar’s stunts were led by coordinator Ravi Dewan, whilst action was directed by Todor Lazarov in Manikarnika.

The introduction of the two female leads is done in a similar fashion across the two clips. A brief description of the characters is narrated as the image pans out to the actresses bearing their weapons to shoot successfully.

In both scenes, we see the female leads successfully fighting a man who happens to be a royal subject as an audience watches in awe. The visuals seem to parallel one another.
