Rahul Dev completes shooting for a film with safety measures in place

Rahul Dev has been one of the first Bollywood stars to resume shooting post the partial lifting of the lockdown. In fact, he has already completed shooting for his film Velapanthi. The action star – known for his highly intense roles – will be seen doing comedy in this one.

Talking about resuming and completing the shoot with safety measures in place, Rahul says that he’d missed the excitement of being on the sets. “It’s been a nice change… After three months of being under lockdown, naturally I missed the sets and facing the camera… exploring new dimensions within as an actor. It was a good feeling to be back at work.”

As for working in the new ‘normal’ he adds, “Yes, it was a huge difference… the usage of face masks, keeping safe distance and meticulous hygiene. But these are challenging times and need to be met with care, precautions and positivity. Let’s come out of this together.”

About his role in the film Velapanthi, the Dishoom actor says, “This one’s an outright comedy and I hope people like it. I essay the role of a Haryanvi don, Zoravor Singh Milk Wala, which has been written with a fair amount of liberty and it was fun to enact the situations he’s faced with.”

Knowing the actor’s knack for far more serious and action-oriented roles, we are looking forward to seeing Rahul Dev in this new avatar.
