Sweet, tangy, and refreshingly light – fruit chaat is the MVP of iftar – finely chopped fruits – from apple to grapes, bananas to pears – with the Chaat masala sprinkled and mixed well. Because no matter how grand the feast is, there’s always room for a bowl of zesty goodness!

Fruit Cake Delight

A well settled fusion of fruits, cake, custard, and jelly (optional) to savor before digging into the snacks. A layer of butter flavored cakes, a thick layer of custard spread on the cake, decorated with fruits on top – apple, banana, grapes, strawberries – and jelly cubes for a delectable taste.

How do I make Custard?

  • Pour 1.5 liters of milk in the utensil
  • Add custard powder to the milk
  • Keep mixing in simmer gas
  • After it is boiled, transfer the custard in a container and keep it for cooling until the custard is thick

How to make Jelly?

  • Pour water in the utensil
  • Add jelly powder to the water
  • After it is boiling hot, transfer the jelly in a container and leave it for cooling until the jelly is thick and shaky!

Though jelly is an optional ingredient, it adds life to the dessert!

  • Pour 1 liter of milk into a utensil
  • Add around 12 to 14 tbsp sugar
  • Then add half-a-cup minced rice into the batter and mix it well
  • Leave the kheer to cook for 15-20 minutes in high flame
  • Then simmer the gas, cover the utensil with a lid, and let it cook for an hour
  • Add cardamom and saffron on the top

Agar-Agar or China Grass Pudding

China grass

China grass is the guilt-free dessert your iftar table needs! It’s like a sweet little cloud that melts in your mouth, keeping things tasty yet easy on the tummy. Because after a long fast, you deserve a treat that’s as smooth as your post-iftar vibes!

  • Pour milk in a utensil and add Agar China Grass (cut into medium size)
  • Leave it on high flames until China Grass dissolves in the milk
  • Shift it from the utensil to a container and leave it for cooling
  • After you notice thickness in Agar-Agar – you can serve it with toppings of finely chopped almonds, cashew nuts, saffron, and cardamom.

As Ramadan’s final days slip away, there’s still time to indulge in one last round of sweetness! Whether it’s the creamy comfort of kheer, the golden drizzle of caramel, or the refreshing jiggle of China grass, every bite is a celebration. So go on, treat yourself—because the best way to end a fast is with a dessert that’s just as unforgettable as the month itself!
