“Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous.” – Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza, who made an appearance in Sajid Khan directorial Hey Baby in 2007 admits that she was aware of his indecent behaviour towards women in general. That being the reason, Dia isn’t surprised by the sexual harassment allegations leveled against the filmmaker. Sajid’s name was recently added to the list of various personalities as offenders in the Me too movement. Talking about Sajid, Dia mentions that she never thought he could stoop to this level.

Dia said, “I was deeply disturbed. I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace.”

She further added, “It’s a deeply bewildering time for a lot of people. I don’t think anyone saw it coming. It is shameful that we didn’t see it coming. Most are silent mainly because of the relationship that they share with these people.”

Dia even explained how in the past she herself brushed such behaviour. “We often brush off certain kind of behaviour. But I wouldn’t have imagined that Sajid could be capable of doing this to a woman. I completely understand the shock people are feeling right now, but it would be unfair to say that the names that are coming out is shocking.” – she shares.

Several women such as Rachel White and Simran Suri have accused Sajid Khan of sexually harassing them in the name of auditions. Not too long ago, Bipasha Basu revealed how she distanced herself from Humshakals because of Sajid’s sexist and obnoxious behaviour towards women on movie sets.
