Dubai has taken the initiative to become a bicycle-friendly city, as more and more fitness enthusiasts are taking up cycling as a daily routine. From dedicated cycle tracks, clubs to cycle cafes, biking culture is growing rapidly in the emirate. Bike rentals have made this sport even more doable without having to worry about owning a bike or its storage. Let’s take a look at some of Dubai’s well acclaimed cycling infrastructure and your next bike trail!
1. Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park
An 8 km track for cycling and jogging is spread out across the streets, making it a refreshing experience for the cyclists to explore the city while riding. They also have a rental store and cafe making it a fun experience even for one timers. You can often find competitions and group biking happening here.
2. Al Qudra Cycle Track
We talk about cycling and Al Qudra is the first name to pop. One of world’s biggest cycle tracks spanning over a 84 km stretch, Al Qudra is a hub to cyclists. Top cyclists gather in large numbers during sunrise and that visual is quite surreal.
3. Dubai Water Canal
This waterfront destination offers a 3.2 km extension to grab your bike and go cycling. It stretches through business bay to all way to Jumeriah letting the riders enjoy the scenic views of the city while getting fit.
4. Mushrif Park
One of the oldest parks in the city which offers a 5 km cycle track. Apart from cycling this park also has other activities like horse riding and play parks. It is open till 11 pm making it an option for night cycling.
5. Hatta Mountain Trail
If you are up for some adventure, Hatta Bike trail caters to your adrenaline rush to experience something new and fun every time. This place is home to many cycle routes each for beginners and experts at different skill levels.
