Ankur Bhatia is on a professional high. The actor who has been garnering accolades for his intense performance as Sushmita Sen’s brother Sangram Singh in Aarya is now looking forward to his Hollywood debut. The actor reveals that he shot for the Hollywood film The Scrapper last year, but the post-production got delayed due to the pandemic. However, work on the film has resumed once again and it is currently in post-production. Produced by Steven Lee and directed by Bari King, the film also features Alison Thomas Lee amongst other renowned names.
The actor, who had also earned much appreciation for his roles in Sarbjit and Haseena Parkar, tells us exclusively, “The Scrapper is something which is very close to my heart. I finished shooting for it in December last year. The global pandemic hit the world and everything has come to a standstill. But now, the film is under post production. I can’t tell you anything about the character as yet but it is extremely interesting and it will literally keep you on the edge of your seat. There is a pandemic on and we all hope it goes away soon. We would be coming with the movie then. It’s a great amalgamation of the west and the east.”
Meanwhile, the actor has also shot for a TV show titled The Power for STARZ channel, earlier this year, which will also be airing soon. With Indian actors making their presence felt increasingly in Hollywood, here’s wishing Ankur Bhatia all the best for joining that list.
